How to back up and use the ssh rsa_key for other computers

1. For linux

1. Create the ssh folder for the new computer

note: If you’ve already created an RSA key-pair, this command will overwrite it, potentially locking you out of other systems. If you’ve already created a key-pair, skip this step. To check for existing keys run ls ~/.ssh/id_rsa*

For creating the ssh folder:

ssh-keygen -b 4096

2. Copy the old ssh folder to the usb

3. Paste the files copied to new computer

4. Run the ssh

ssh username@ip_address

2. For MAC

1. For getting the details for the connections with ssh

ssh -T -v username@ip_address

2. Enter passphrase for key

Durning the procedure, we can get the notification for inputing the password
